2. Using a list of compliments

Write and share with your children 10 compliments and good memories about their other parent.
(If you’ve done the work on the website, this is Exercise C.)

Make this the “new library” you dig into when the topic of their other parent comes up. Surprise your children by sneaking in at least one good memory or compliment a week about their other parent.

(If you’re having trouble making a list, here are some of the best compliments we’ve seen separated parents write about each other. Click HERE.)

Give yourself up to 10 points on your Score Sheet for the extent you can say, “I've written 10 excellent compliments and good memories about our children’s other parent, and I share at least one of these with the children every week.”

“I can live for two months on a good compliment.”
