A final thought

Click HERE for a short discussion of this important gift to your children.

Remember that this is hard on your children. Their world has suffered an earthquake that never totally stops rumbling. Help them to grieve their losses, just as you deal with yours. Above all, show them that you appreciate the hurt they must suffer by having to live in two worlds—and that you’re doing everything you can to keep that hurt as manageable as possible.

Give yourself up to 10 bonus points on your Score Sheet for the extent you can say, “I let our children express their pain over missing their other parent, and I help them grieve their sadness.”

We wish you and your family the very best.
